Maternity

What is the best time to take Maternity Photographs?

We recommend doing Maternity sessions between 28 and 35 weeks. That way you already have a defined bump, but still have enough energy for the photo shoot.

What clothing is best to wear for a Maternity Photo Session?

We recommend something flowy and graceful. Maxi dresses with minimal pattern are best to show off your form.

What locations to you offer for Maternity Sessions?

We offer sessions on a beach as well as in a woodland setting. You may choose whichever one of these options work best with your style and the look you are trying to achieve.

Can other family members join the session?

Of course. You are welcome to have a partner or other children at the session. We will focus the session on what you are most interested in, whether it be individual or family oriented photos.

Newborn

When should the sessions be scheduled?

It’s best to book your session a few months before the delivery to make sure of availability. Once we receive your deposit we will put your due date on our calendar. There is always consideration for when the little one actually decides to arrive, since this is not an exact science. Let us know once you have delivered and we will schedue your session for that important 5-14 day window.

How long after birth is the best time to take these photos?

The magic window is 5-14 days after birth. This is when the little ones are most sleepy and can be placed in those adorable curled up poses.

How should we prepare for the session?

We will provide you with specific instructions, via e-mail, before the session to prepare your little one in the best way possible to achieve the sleepy poses. Besides following some simple recommendations, there is nothing else you need to do!

What should we bring with us?

You do not need to bring anything except bottle and formula if you are not breastfeeding. We have all the wipes, diapers and anything else that would be needed for the session or any potential accidents.

Are we able to include personal items in the photos?

We style the baby photos in a rustic/vintage style. However, if you have a special item you would like to incorporate, please let us know, and we will do our best to create a shot using your prop.

Can the parents and siblings be included in the photos?

Yes, if you desire for the family to be included we will attempt to achieve those shots toward the beginning of the session. Please let us know that you desire family shots with your little one before the day of the shoot. Shots with siblings under the age of three can be difficult at times due to their energy level and short attention spans, so if the sibling shots are not working, we will have to move on. We do also request that after the shots involving older siblings are done, that the siblings leave the session to allow for a calmer and quieter environment to focus on the star of the show.

Do you offer photo books or any other keep sakes?

Our standard packages include fully edited digital files that you have full right to print. However, we do also offer albums, framed prints and prints on metal. Please let us know if any of these interest you and we can provide more information.

Baby

What clothing should we bring to the session?

We provide all the props and outfits for the baby and toddler session. There is nothing that is required of you as far as clothing is concerned, we have an array of baby outfits you will have a choice of prior to the shoot. Please let us know if you have any color preferences and we will make sure to style the shoot to include them.

Can siblings or parents join the session?

No. The baby and toddler sessions are specifically focused on the individual child. If you are interested in photos to include siblings and parents, Family sessions would be a better fit. We will work on getting some shots of each individual child as well as sibling photos then.

Family

What clothing should we bring to the session?

We recommend that clothing be coordinated between all the family members. It is also best to stay away from bold prints and visible labels. That way your photos will be classic and stand the test of time.

Is there a limit to how many people can be in the family photos?

We strive to make the family photos depict the wonderful and natural relationship and interaction between the family members. The immediate family will be the focus of the shoot. However, if you wish to have have a few photos posed with grandparents, they are welcome to join.

Where can the family photos be taken?

We offer family photos either in a studio, woodland or a beach setting. However, if you have a special location in mind, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
